I received a
Vonage
Newsletter in the mail today. It came complete with subtle little ads and suggestions to look at the latest Video commercials, as if we hadn't seen them before. I haven't been getting Voicemail or E-mail spam yet, but this may be a beginning. I'm already a customer, what more do they want of me besides bugging my friends and neighbors to sign up.

You got a
Vonage
newsletter in the mail and you're upset about that? Do you know how much junk mail I got from BellSouth and their affiliates? Wow, a newsletter...I feel your pain.

Believe what you want timus. No one will be able to convince you of anything you don't want to hear. If you think
Vonage
is "spamers" then they are "spamers" (sic). Then too are Microsoft, the makers of Viagra, Cialis, along with any other item or service being hawked by third-party vendors. Whether or not the actual makers of the product have any knowledge of the "spamer"(sic) is irrelevant, following your line of reasoning, and we should condemn them all anyway.

I get emails all the time asking if I want to buy microsoft products, cheap. That is no different from the email you are getting to sign up for
Vonage
. Neither of them are from the company's products mentioned in the email yet you seem to think
Vonage
is and others aren't.
Those drug emails aren't from the drug makers, the microsoft product emails aren't from microsoft, and the
Vonage
emails you are getting aren't from
Vonage
. Nor are any of the sponsored by the company in question. Its called spam, thats the way it works. One would think that you would understand that, but it sounds like you have some kind of thing against
Vonage
and don't want to see past the haze.

Because its not from, paid for, sponsored by, or generated by
Vonage
.

Granted I'm new here, but reading through all the "spam" you're getting "from"
Vonage
, I am seeing a pattern. each one ends with "Mesa Media, 405 S. Dale Mabry Hwy., #336 " can't you just setup an email filter to dump those in the trash before they hit your inbox? I have my a bunch of my web email accounts (and my office Notes) email filters setup to catch keywords and dump them right away. Ever thought about giving that a try?
With the viagra one's they always seem to come up with a funky way of typing "viagra" (ya know, with spaces and alternate characters, etc.), but it doesn't look like they're doing anything with "Mesa Media". That'd be a good keyword filter to try.
But then again, I'm a newbie.. what do I know

Vonage
does not send out spam. I've been with
Vonage
since 2002 and I've NEVER received ANY spam messages from them. Just because the e-mail is trying to get you to sign up for
Vonage
service doesn't mean it came from
Vonage
, that
Vonage
endorses the company that's sending the e-mails, or that
Vonage
has sold your e-mail address. Anyone who has their own domain can make an e-mail address of vonage@<insert domain name here>. That doesn't mean that
Vonage
approved it or even knows about it. I have my own domain and I have a
Vonage
@ account setup. The only thing I use it for is e-mails to and from
Vonage
. I don't spam anyone with it, and I've never e-mailed anyone from that account except for
Vonage
. I think
Vonage
has better things to do and more things to worry about than trying to go after/sue one company that's sending out spam e-mails that are trying to get people to sign up for
Vonage
. If Microsoft or the drug companies went after every single spammer that sends out e-mails about their products they'd never get anything else done. Mesa Media is the one spamming you, NOT
Vonage
.
Vonage
has absolutely nothing to do with it...and I VERY seriously doubt that Mesa Media got your e-mail address from
Vonage
. They probably got it from the same place that all the other spammers got your address from.

All those MS products coming from spam are Warez illegal software does not have any relationship with MS..
..
Furthermore The links do not finally end up on MS's website or a real distributors website unlike Vonage.....

Vonage

Thank you for your advice. Yes I can do that..
Why do not we eliminate this spamer and its affiliates instead of configuring each machine or mail server?
Thanks
