Post subject: MTA Bought Through Amazon.com
I bought a
Vonage
MTA through Amazon.com and on their product description page it claimed the box includes a special URL that lets me register for service without a setup fee and gives me two months of free calling.
When I open the box, the only URL I found is
http://www.vonage.com/activate
which is the same URL for retail activation.
My question is, if I am activating from the same URL as all retail activations, how will
Vonage
know that I bought the MTA from Amazon.com and that I am eligible for setup fee waiver and two months of free calling?

Who sold it to you? Email
them
, too, and ask about the special credit.

when they talk about url. what they mean is your mac address. to find this either look on the box, on a sticker with barcodes on it. or look on the bottom of the mta. "MTA MAC ID:"
goto the website once you have the mac id. then you should be able to get your service.
