Virtual Number and voicemail routing.

Hi

I have a query which I`ve just spoken through with tech support but I`m not sure they got what I was after. Probably my Scottish accent Wink

Anyway, I currently have a Vonage number (0141) which I want to route instantly to voicemail, I do however want to add a virtual number (01324) which can be answered or routed to voicemail if not answered. Seems simple, the 0141 number goes to voicemail, the 01324 number gets answered. Ideally I`d like the 01324 number to be the real number and the 0141 to be the virtual one, primarily because the 01324 number wasn`t available when I opened my account.

According to tech support I need to change my phone number to an 01324 one at a cost of £5.99 which would convert my 0141 number to a virtual one and then I can turnvoicemail on for the virtual one only. My concern is will I be able to turn voicemail on for my virtual number and off for my standard number.

Any ideas????????

its doesnt work like that unfortunately.

your virtual number only diverts calls received on it to your primary number your 0141 number in this case.

Vonage should change your dialing code free of charge if your code wasnt available when you signed up for the service they done this for me and probably loads other cos when i signed up with them 0141 wasnt available and i had to take a 0207 number and when my code was available i ditched the 0207 and got 0141 for free.
