Just get a "remailing" address in Florida, and update a credit card or two to have that as your billing address. They package up your mail every now and then and mail it to you. It's not free, of course, and it may cost more than the telecom taxes. But if your credit card company does electronic billing, you'll rarely receive anything from then anyway.
My father in law does that - his legal mailing address is in Florida. He's retired and in a motor home 100% of the time now, and his actual location changes frequently. He chose Florida because registration of vehicles is cheap, and taxes are low.

Isn't anyone going to continue the comments on the logo? Afterall this is the Logo and Sales Tax thread!
Maybe we could start a Customer Service and Cable Length Thread. They seem to go together just as well as Sales Tax and Logos!

Post subject: Taxes
Just a thought, Are these 21 states the states that have passed the so called "simplified tax code"?
This is all part of the attempt by the states to get Congress to pass a law forcing Internet Retailers to collect taxes and negate the Supreme Court ruling regarding the physical presence rule for tax purposes.
I'm in Wisconsin and know they still haven't done this and Wi. isn't on the list.

I'd like to see a comparision of the locations that charge a 911 fee and those that are charging the sales tax.
I suspect there will be a correlation.

I have to take the blame for this one. It started out as a logo thread and mentioned the tax and I got carried away and posted taxes to this thread instead of the other primarily tax thread. I even had to ask for the thread title to be renamed to cover my goof.
I really was hoping for comments on my opinion that Vonage's logo appeared to mimic Cingular's.

I think the logo does mimic Cingular's logo to an extent.
But I also look at something like a logo and say "meh. Doesn't improve my call quality, doesn't cost me money. Whatever."

You're forgiven (I am an Ordained Minister -- The Universal Life Church). It does look like a legless Cingular logo...do we need a tag like to go with it...
How about..."Cingular may walk a mile for your satisfaction, but here at
Vonage
we don't walk for anything because we are legless...and we just don't care either"

I realized I have grossly misinterpreted the logo.
Bear with me here. Imagine the V of the logo is the open beak of a baby bird. Now, the blue circle represents AT&T's logo.
Vonage
intends to devour AT&T!
