I am using a motorola/Vonage router as the main router. Before this, I was using D-Link wireless router. I need this dlink router back for a laptop that uses wireless internet. I tried to normally add the wireless router from the 2nd router and my laptop wont get any connection. Heres my current set up.
*red means I want it added from teh router, if its possible??

there's a few things to look at. first though, there is more than one motorola adapter, so a model would be nice. I think it's the vt2442 or something like that since I believe the vt1000 and vt1005 only have one ethernet port. with a computer plugged into the dlink, find out if it's getting an ip from the motorola. that's pretty much the main concern. if I were you I would power everything down, including modem, and bring them back up one by one (modem, motorola, dlink, then computers) there's a chance that that alone could solve your problem. |

im using vt2442.
I have the PC plugged to the motorola/vonage router. I want to add my D-Link Di-614+ wireless router to the list because I need wireless internet for my laptop and PSP. |

Understood. Reebok's suggestion that you plug your computer into the D-link is for diagnostic purposes. You need to find out if the D-link is getting an IP from the Motorola. Once you have things working you can move it back. |
