Vonage offers Enhanced 411 service at 99 cents per call. What if I don't want enhanced service, is there a charge for 411 calls, or am I automatically charged 99 cents every time I call 411? |

simple awnser- no u cant. all that vonage offers for 411 is their "enhanced 411". They try and hype everything up so you sign up for vonage in the first place. Its like how they offer "voicemail plus" instead of calling it voicemail. |

"Enhanced" is a marketing term. Vonage charges $0.99 for each 411 call made.
You can also use www.anywho.com on your web browser, or the free 411 service available at 1-800-FREE-411 |

Or you can use 800-411-save or 800-411-metro
In case free-411 is busy. |

Thanks, sounds like Vonage's approach at charging for the "extras" is to call them enhancements. Marketing? More like spin doctor. I say call a spade a spade. They're going to charge me 99 cents for a 411 call, but at least they'll let me ask for up to two numbers, and I can get weather, sports scores and a whole bunch of other stuff.
I think I'll wait to call until I specifically need two numbers, the score of the Red Sox game, and the need to find the closest Pizza shop that has rubarb pizza. Might as well get my monies worth.
Until that happens, I'll use anywho.com of switchboard.com like I usually do. Thanks for clearing up my question. |
