1. Try unplugging your cable modem for at least 2 minutes, preferably about 5. That will allow the Modem's registration of your MAC address to clear, and the MAC address of the new device may be recognized.
2. If that does not work, clone the MAC address of your PC to the Vonage device. However, with most Cable modems, this should not be necessary. |

Your VoIP results look good. Have you tried cycling power on everything, and powering up in the correct order (modem then VT1005)? Are you able to access the internet with your PC plugged in to the VT1005 LAN port?
I understand that the VT1005 is enabled as a DHCP server (right?), but is it also set to get its IP dynamically? Did you get the VT1005 from Vonage? If not, is it registered with them? |

Ok I've cycle powered everything and still no dice.

You're not going to like this, but I'm afraid that you're in for a session with customer support. The fact that you're getting internet service through the adapter indicates that you've got everything hooked together right and that the cabling is good. Your VoIP test is also good, and the MAC should be registered since the unit came from Vonage. I don't think there's anything more that you can do. It could be that there was a screw up at Vonage and the MAC registration didn't get done right, or the adapter may be bad. Either way..... |
