We are trying to setup RTP300 at Hyderabad. The ISP is Tata Broadband. The router provided by Tata has only one Ethernet connection. I guess we need to connect a Hub (?) to the Tata router so that we get additional ports at Hub to connect to computer and Vonage adapter. Is my assumption correct? If yes, then any suggestions on the model/make of the Hub that are available in India?

Note: We need to setup PPPoE connection (login/password) on the computer.

i just signed for vonage when i was in us and have got a Linksys RTP 300 router with ata . i have installed it through my wireless linksys router WRT54G.

i have a cisco ata and would like to use it instead as it is smaller and does not need a power stepdown transformer. it is portable to lug it around also. how to tranfer the settings so it works.

i am using airtel broadband 256k and the quality is good.

Guys,

Any experience on the excess usage of internet. I have a internet connection which limits the monthly usage to 1GB and presently 500 minutes of monthly phone minutes is consuming 3.5GB . Any idea how to avoid this.. I use PAP2 adapter with Netgear router.

PostPosted: Sun Mar 26, 2006 12:24 am    Post subject: Help Installing PAP2 and BSNL Reply with quote Back to top

Please help installing Vonage/PAP2/BSNL

I have BSNL with HUAWEI MT841 type modem cum router.
It has DHCP enabled.
I'm able to browse internet through my PC. **I have to connect every time to logon** But when I connect PAP2 to MT814, I see the internet light on PAP2 lit, but the phone line is not being lit and hence no dial tone.

-I tried setting MT814 to static IP - didn't work
-I tred PAP2 setting to both static and dynamic IP and it didn't fix the problem.

Any help appreciated. Thanks
