Packet8 also supports 208 area codes. Plus their cheaper plus they support ACR and other goodies.

As far as 208 area codes, you can fill out a form on our website to inform you when its avail (http://www.vonage.com/avail.php) see "area code notification"
as far as ACR we DO have it, however it is currently in testing along with Do not disturb, and some others. Once these are deemed 100% working we will roll out the new features |
Dear Vonage... You just don't seem to get it! Yes I filled out the form at the time I signed up with the reassurance that my area code and call center were, "just around the corner", to quote your sales staff. Not only has that not happened but the list of area codes /call centers you offer has gotten shorter, not longer.
Perhaps you have ACR... I don't. I have heard talk about it coming for 3 months. You list yourself as #1 in VoiP yet your competitors have figured out how to offer these things in real life, not smoke. I'm beginning to think that I have a better chance of falling down a well and having Lassie go for help then I do having Vonage e-mailing me and saying, "Your area code's ready".
The other part of the equation.. Vonage does provide me with dependable and very solid phone service. I like it. I can't get rid of my landline however until my neighbors can call me without going to Long Distance. |
