I am not getting consistently good quality of voice and their is lot of distubance since I have set up my phone.The results on the testyourvoip.com have ranged from 1.0 to 4.4 so I am not sure whats the problem and who should i be contacting in this regard
I am attching a sample report from testyourvoip with the location being Boston

My location is Washington state and my DSL is provided by Qwest
Iam suppose to be on 3-5mbps line
DSL Modem is Actiontec
Setup of Network is Modem---->Router-->Vonage Adapter-->PC
Major issue faced is choppy audio etc

You've posted some good Voip results, but you say that your results vary a lot. We'll learn a lot more if you'll post the detailed results on a bad report.

You need to determine whether those bad results are associated with Vonage equipment or something else. At a time when you're seeing bad results, disconnect everything and plug your computer directly into your modem and repeat the test. If it's still bad, then your problem is with your ISP and needs to be handled with him. If the results improve dramatically, then we need to look at the rest of your equipment.

That helps. You have horrible packet losses, and they're on the downlink rather than the uplink. That's unusual. Please try to see if you get similar results with the computer plugged directly into the modem.

I'd say that's conclusive. You have an ISP problem that you'll have to work with them. (I include your modem as being part of the ISP's responsibility.) If you're experiencing any other issues with your service, such as poor upload or download speeds, you can focus on that instead of or in addition to the Voip results.
