I have two incoming lines (one for fax) and am installing with a Motorola VT2442. I will have a voice line and a fax only line. Can you give some idea which wires to disconnect and tie off.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,

You will need to upload those image files to a site that will let you link to them from this forum. Typically your ISP provides some space for this. If not there are some free sites around.

Disconnect the phone company wires. They are the ones coming from the large black cable in the center and appear to be connected to the block close to the house.

Thanks, I will give it a try. My concern was with two lines perhaps I had to leave some of the wires connected. I will just disconnect and tie off all the wires from the black vable attached to the screws.

Thanks again,

Jim

I took from your message that you are replacing both of your telco lines with Vonage lines. If that is not the case then your situation gets more complicated.

You are correct - replacing both telco lines with Vonage. Thanks again for your help.

Stephen,

I disconnected and tied off all the wires and Vonage is working fine. I screwed-up my wireless network setting up my account. I should be able to correct it.

Thanks again for being there.
