Post subject: Voice is breaking up
I am having problems with voice quailty. I can hear the peoples voice coming in just fine. My voice going out sounds terriable. I am told it keeps breaking up and they say they can hear about every other or every 3rd word. Any ideas on what needs to be done. I like
Vonage
but I cant have that. I have made no changes to the bandwith. It has always stayed at the highest.
Thanks..

Post subject: opps (voice quailty)
I guess it matters if you are running a p2p and files are being uploaded. I also changed my voice quality to 50 kbs. It is now back to normal. Is there a way I can commit a certain amount of bandwidth to
Vonage
so that I can do what I want on my network and internet use and not have it interfere with
Vonage
?
Thanks..

The moto box is supposed to do that. Plug the left port (closest to the power jack) directly into the modem and plug your PC or router into the other jack. That should automatically prioritize voice traffic.
Some people prefer to have the box behind a router (more stable LAN IP back there), so you could go Modem --> Router --> Moto --> Switch or PC and have the same effect. Some users have reported VPN issues, though, tunneling through the moto box that way.
But setting the codec to 50k is a good alternative, whatever works!
