I find it intreesting that I signed up for a number transfer on april 19th. Here it is the 28th and after faxing Vonage the required paperwork to do the transfer twice, my account it still showing that they havn't received the paperwork *chuckle*. I tried to call today but their entire customer care phone network is down. I even tried to call and pretend I was a person wanted new Vonage service and that system is down. Doesn't look good when a phone service business can't keep their own phone system going. The numbers I am transfering are business numbers and I am now having second thoughts about this whole deal. My lively hood depends on these phone numbers to work and work all the time.... |

I left verizon after I see my monthly bill coming to $60.. I've been with Vonage for about a year now and never really had a problem. phone service was down for a day or so awhile back but all it did was keep people who I didn't want to speak to from calling me. Anyway, If Vonage does start charging tax here in New York then I'll just change my billing address to pennsylvania or alabama where I have family. just to have a dial tone with verizon I think it's like $15 and all their taxes.. before u even make a phone call u owe verizon $20 and that doesn't include any calling feature. And about 911.. I don't really mind that too much as I live in apartment building in the city and have two cell phones and another one with no sim card which can call 911 at anytime. |

Ok Two things.
One, its typical of NY to want to tax the Voip companies. NY taxes everything very high and frankly I am sick of it. It doesnt seem to matter who we vote in or how much we band together as a community, its just keeps rising. I am slowly planning on moving my family out of this worthless state.
Two, Hasnt anybody ever heard of dialing there local police stations number!!!!! All this whining about 911 is ridiculous! Dial your local police. If you have to be put on hold there beause of alot of traffic then your going to wait for emergency response anyways. So get over and give the new technology time to work out the bugs. Too many people want it and want it now without the paitence to get it working right. Let Vonage and the others work it out and get off there backs. If its not good enough stop whining and go back to a land line.
