I've been using Vonage with nothing but pure satisfaction up to about a day ago. I've started to get a loud screeching noise on the line while using my phone. Boo hoo! (sounds like a bow violently scraping over violin strings)

Anyone else experience this or know what may be causing it?

Thanx in advance if you have any suggestions.

Thanx for looking at my post anyway

My WRTP54G was making a noise in both lines like a teakettle whistle. The Vonage tech and I were figuring it out when I disabled the wireless on the router and it went away! I started the wireless again and it was fine for a couple of hours and then came back. Disabled and restarted the wireless and it cleared up again.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on how to fix it permanently?

Thanks!

I wondered if the power light on your adapter is blinking. I realized on the phone with my tech that mine was. We tried to reset it and nothing. The Tech determined the adapter was junk. He said the light should only blink when taking a firmware update. I had trouble with my Lynksys wireless adapter too after a firmware update. Got rid of that and my wireless problems were over.

They sent me a new Motorola adapter. I will hook it up today and let you know if it solves my problem.
