Sorry for the newbie question, but I coudn't find any existing answers through a forum search.
I'd like my Vonage number to roll over to an SBC landline if the Vonage number is busy. In other words, I'd like to have call hunting, but can't use the Vonage Call Hunt feature because only one of my two lines is from Vonage.
Any easy way to do this please, possibly using some configuration of Call Forwarding? Thanks much in advance, Alex. |

I guess I'm not seeing something. Exactly why can't you hunt to your SBC line? I can't imagine why that won't work. |

Call Hunt is only available to Vonage users with multiple lines. I have one Vonage line, and one SBC landline. I give my Vonage number out to everyone as my only incoming number; I don't give out the SBC landline number. So, I'd like to achieve the same effect as Call Hunt, i.e. have incoming calls to my Vonage number roll over to my SBC landline if the Vonage number is busy. But I don't have access to Call Hunt.
Does that make sense? If not, I'm missing something. As far as I can tell, Call Forwarding only rolls from my Vonage number to my SBC landline if I don't answer the Vonage number, but not if it's busy. Is this incorrect?
Thanks again in advance for any help. |

Just wondering if simu-ring would work in your case. Someone calls you Vonage line and it rings both. I beleave if one is busy it will ring on the other but I'm not quite sure.

Many thanks for the replies. As it turns out, I must have been doing something wrong before, because everything seems to work now: I set my Vonage line to forward to my SBC line after 15 seconds. If the Vonage line is busy, it forwards immediately to the SBC line. Strange. |
