hi all -- I'm a newbie, but not a network newbie.
I'm looking for a good G wireless router, with QOS. I have a packet8 line, and am about to add a Vonage line (don't like all my eggs in one basket) I don't like the way Linksys QOS works, so I'd like to hear what other wireless routers you guys are using that support QOS, and work...
I also need the ablility to run VPN
Thanks |

that's good info, but I've been doing networking for over 10 years. I understand all that.
as I said I don't like the way linksys does their QOS -- you set what everything else has available, you can't set aside bandwidth for specific types of traffic.
What I do need to know is suggestions on a good wireless router with QOS (that's not a linksys). most of my experience is with high end eqipment, so I'm not real familiar with the d-link, motorola, and stuff. |

I have a Trendnet TEW-611 brp. it has the same QOS as the hawking broadband booster. This router does not need any thrid party firmware. |

You didn't specify your price range, so how about a Cisco 871W? It has an 802.11b/g radio and supports LLQ. |

I'd second the suggestion for the Trendnet 611BRP. |

I'll check out the trendnet -- thanks for the suggestions
yea -- a $500 + router is a bit out of my price range for home $75 - $120 is more my speed... |

And you can still pickup the Trendnet 611BRP and get the $40 mail in rebate (seems it's been extended to the months of April & May). So it's an even better deal. |
