Hi,
This was the biggest mistake I made in a long time. I still don't have a number transfer in 45 days... I have a total of 13 hours on hold, 115 call into "support" and I am still without... should have stayed with MCI!

Well, techinically, if your number hasn't ported yet then you still are with MCI. Very Happy Have you posted in the LNP forum to see if anyone had a similar experience with MCI? Is your line with MCI completely clean? No distinctive rings, no extra features, just a plain vanilla phone line? Have you called MCI to see what the hold up in porting your line is? I'm not defending Vonage, but all they can do is get the LOA and send it off and wait for MCI to port your number. MCI might have a better idea of what is causing the delay. Realistically it shouldn't take more than a week or so to port a number.

What does MCI say? You keep blaming Vonage for poor service, but all Vonage can do is submit the request to port your number. MCI has to actually release the number to Vonage. So again, what is MCI's story about the delay?

Blakadher, please don't be so defensive... I have a letter from both MCI and Vonage, including a box or emails. Vonage recieved the number on the 17th of march... everyone is in agreement... it's from that point forward Vonage can't make it work. Matter of fact I am now told that Vonage can't gurantee that I will every get it back... I am on the phone with them now.

It's a mess and they are the worser in customer service

I wasn't being defensive (read my other posts, I am anything but a Vonage apologist). You have to admit that you weren't really giving the full story in your short responses, though. Now you say you have a letter from both MCI and Vonage and that MCI released the number to Vonage on March 17th. That's WAY different than the original information you provided. And I don't believe anyone has ever argued the point that Vonage CS isn't completely crappy.
