Look, I've had 2 people tell me they heard advertisements. Maybe it's picking up the radio or something.... I don't know. I'll try to reproduce it tonight and see what happens....
2.4 GHz wireless transmission is probably the culprit, not Vonage. There's a lot of traffic of all types in that band.
um as far as I know... no radio frequencies AM or FM are up in that range. And also local tv stations.
only thing that could possibly interfear with a 2.4 ghz phone is the microwave or a wireless router, both of which have no audio transmissions.
If a neighbor near by has a 2.4ghz phone... it is possible to overhear a conversation

Wireless headphones, bluetooth, baby monitors with video and more. Prior to getting Vonage, I had to switch to 5.8 phones because of bluetooth sound interference.

Bluetooth did me in at home so I got overly aware of 2.4 stuff, but it's the coolest thing - now #3 on my better than sliced bread list (TiVo and Vonage first).
