steady yellow light with Vtech IP 8100-2

I cannot get my Vonage device to work. Once I get everything connected, I get only a steady yellow light on the Vonage device. I never get a green light. I never get a dial tone. I have the VTech Ip 8100 with 2 handsets. I have done all the troubleshooting suggestions and even called Vonage help line--one guy had me do all the troubleshooting things again, then the guy he transferred me to didn't seem to care, so he told me to unplug my modem and after that he didn't say anything at all, even after I said "hello?" about 10 times. Eventually, I heard him push 3 buttons on the phone and then I heard the "on hold" music. I hung up after i continued to get no response from him. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I also contacted Comcast to "register" the Vonage device and they said no registration is needed.

Please read the sticky of what to post when having trouble. That way the folks around here can help you out a bit more.

I have the same phone you have and on one occasion I got a steady yellow light. After calling my cable company because my internet was not working as well they had me reboot my router. That fixed it.

Your problem doesn't sound the same but you might want to give that a try. Are you having problems accessing the internet?

Anyway since you had no response I thought I would give you some idea of what you may need to post when having problems. There are helpful folks around here.
