Perhaps covered by the incoming delay post, but when I make a call using Vonage, the person on the other end of the line gets nothing for a few seconds. They either hang up or say 'hello' again. I only hear the 2nd 'hello' so think things are either fine or try again if they hang up on me. I don't notice any delays when I receive calls, but have not researched it. Is this another problem attributed to network performance or hardware ? I have Time Warner Roadrunner for cable access and it's been pretty fast. Just wondering. Thanks |

Unfortunately, this is a fairly persistent problem. The RTP300 was particularly bad until some firmware upgrades made it a lot better (look vonage-forum.com/ftopic8237.html+hello" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" class="postlink">here. ).The firmware upgrades improved things a lot, but delays are still noticeable. You can complain to customer service, but you may have to live with a bit of it. |

I noticed you're running a WRT54G... which firmware are you running? The reason I ask is because I had the exact same problem, and it turned out to be a QOS setting on the WRT54G. I honestly don't know which one, but when I disabled QOS, the problem disappeared. I'm now using DD-WRT v23 in the WRT box, and the problem has not returned.
Take care,

That didn't appear to help, but on the positive side I upgraded my firmware to something more recent and am learning more about the hardware via the forum. I see it's a fairly common problem so will keep watching for something and until then be quick with my 'hellos'. |
