Hmmm...would another option be to get the Hawking HBB1 and keep my same setup? Charles |

Sure. Several people around here are as big fans of the Hawking Voip prioritization device as I am of the WRT54GL (grin). Haven't tried one myself, but the reviews seem good.
The Hawking would need to go first (closest to your modem), of course, so it controls all traffic.
You can also just replace the Netgear with one of the various routers that have the StreamEngine chip in them, if you want to consolidate devices. |

Charles,
I set up my Linksys WRT54GS v3 with WRT, Sveasoft and others. I was able to get the QOS working pretty well. But, I bought the Hawking because it sets QOS automatically. Well, the Hawking works much better than the other firmwares, even with my best QOS settings.
It was well worth the investment. Vonage ought to provide it with their startup kit.
