I recently read a post where the writer described a unit that plugs between the phone adaptor and router (or however your configuration is). It automatically gives priority to Voip, I think through QoS. Any ideas? Thanks, James |

I have one, and it works as advertised.

DLink made a unit with the same StreamEngine technology that a few people around here raved about. |

I bought the HBB1 after reading a recommendation on this forum and used it for several weeks resulting in what appeared to be an increase in periodic dropped internet connections and have since removed it. I have not had any obvious internet connection drops since removing it. The drops were demonstrated by periodic lack of Vonage device dial tone and calls auto forwarding to net availability number, automatic browser home page update failures, webcam upload failures, and occasional ftp drops in mid file transfer. Not acceptable! |
