There are two models of linksys wirless routers for vonage with 2 phone ports.
WRT54GP2 and WRT54GP

What is the difference between them? Is one superior (next generation) over the other?

If I recall correctly, the WRTP54GP2 is for AT&T CallVantage, and of course, the WRTP54G is for Vonage. I personally like the design of the WRTP54G, better then the WRTP54GP2.

If you go to the links I have sent, both are for Vonage. So I am confused over what device to buy in terms of performance.

brownizs is incorrect. both of those are vonage models. the WRT54GP2A-AT is at&t.
the wrt54gp2 is the old generation and the wrtp54g is new generation. you may or may not notice a difference in phone and routing capability.
