Since this morning, I also have been unable to get incoming calls. I'm also in the 405 area code. In reply to one of the latest posts, I did not port my existing phone number to Vonage.

I am in the 516 area code and have been without incoming call service since around 8AM EST. Cust. svc. claims it's caused by a circuit down. it is now going on 9 hrs. and still no incoming calls. Vonage better get their act together if they want to compete with Verizon!!

I managed to connect with customer service at 5 PM EDST but really got nowhere. All I was able to discern was that they are still having problems and when they are able to fix it I will be able to receive incoming calls.

I sure would be nice for all involved - Vonage & customers - if they had a system status web page where they posted honest information updated at regular intervals.

Yes, JoeWro - mine is a ported number - effective 2/15/06. My thoughts went there as well wondering if this server does some magic connection translation.

Interesting - mine was ported around 3/1, but I signed up in Feb. I'm impressed that you got through to cust. svc. I wonder if this is affecting new people, b/c a friend of mine's number works fine and has had Vonage for a year or two and is in the same area code as me.

Anyone having issues who's been with Vonage for a long time?

My 918-627 is working again when called from my cingular cell and from my swbell line as of 5:28CST.

I decided to try rebooting my router and after that, I can now get incoming calls!!
