This morning I noticed when I called my Vonage number, I got a recording stating "The number you have dialed is either disconnected or no longer in service." I then called Vonage Customer Service (actually for the first time since I've had Vonage). I only had to wait about 5 mins before I spoke with a rep who then informed me this was a known issue with the 405 Area Code and it would be fixed shortly. That was over an hour ago and it still isn't fixed. There is also NO service outage announcement posted anywhere on their website.

We had the same problem with the 918 area code and some Tulsa and Sand Springs numbers. They still haven't fixed it, but I just chose to get a Sapulpa number, and got outta the hassle.

Ok, it's been over 2 hrs and I am still getting the recording. There is also still no Service Announcement posted. Guess I'll have to call again.

As it turns out, my Mom's been trying to call, and she finally IMed me, and tells me she's getting that recording too. Well, I'm gunna call Vonage now. Wish me luck!

I'm in area code 508 and having the same problem. This is very bad customer service for Vonage to not post a service outage message! I just hung on the tech support line for about 45 minutes and then it went to a fast busy signal and disconnected me. I am "slightly" aggravated since I've had Vonage for about a month.

BAD Vonage !!! MAKE ME WANT TO SMASH THINGS!!!

903 Area code is also down and has been all day. No message posted on their web site. Now how hard could that be? There is no excuse for it so come on all you "Vonage can do no wrongers" and tell me why no message is posted.

I agree. Next time I see one of those jabronies, I'm gonna feed him a knuckle sandwich...

But seriously, I think we should all get credits on our bills for the month. I pay for a month of service - not a month minus one day (and counting) of service. I want Vonage to have to pay for the mistakes it is making. In the IT industry, they call it redundancy and disaster recovery. There is no excuse for such a widespread outage for such a long time.

I would like to see some news articles on this problem - maybe that will force Vonage to step it up a bit. They must be making a killing off us - the least they could do is let us know when they are having problems instead of us having to find out on our own.
