Title pretty well says it all.

I have a Canon Faxphone B95 fax machine and have been trying to get it to send faxes. It use to send the faxes fine until about a month ago. Receiving faxes works fine. I have been with Vonage customer support several times, they changed and rechanged the packets but to no avail!

I am hoping someone has some suggestions for me. Error correction is turned off, played with the different baud rates (now set at 9600), tried *99 as the prefix, used a phone filter to see if this would help but nothing.

I am running DSL on Windows XP SP2. I think that's about it. Someone please help, i am beginning to lose it.

Are you sure that the machine itself isn't broken? If possible, it would be nice to take it somewhere else and see if it can send faxes over another phone line.

If that's not the problem, tell us what it's doing or not doing. Does it dial out but not connect? Not dial at all? Can you place voice calls over the line?

thanks for the reply.

yes i did, i tested the machine on my land line and it sent the fax fine.

the machine does everything it is suppose to, it dials the number, it gets the fax tone, but when it tries to send/transmit it just hangs there. the fax never goes through.

before it worked like a charm so i am left frustrated. All this time on the phone with tech support and no results. Again, any help would be appreciated.

You say you have tried a phone filter. It's a DSL filter? Have you tried it turned in both directions? Odd as it seems, I've heard that they are not truly bi-directional.
