Okie, this is my first time playing with VoIP, so bear with me.
Im in a apartment, using charter cable for my isp.
my network is going from the cable jack to the motorola surfboard SB5100, then to the Linksys WRTP54g Router. I got 1 laptop using the wireless, and my desktop is going from Ethernet jack 1, got my xbox hooked into ethernet jack 2, and a simple GE 5.8ghz cordless phone wired directly into Phone jack 1 of the router.
I have internet and lan conectivity in all my devices, and i have dialtone on the corless phone. But when i try to dail anything, i get a fast busy signal.
on the vonage dashboard, it says everything is good and should be working. when my friend tried to call, he got a all circuits are busy message.
i heard this type of problem has happened with DSL, but since the phone is wired directly into router, i dont see the lines causing this problem.
Any sugestions? |

Call 888-250-1799 from another phone if you can. If not you can send an email to dslreports@vonage.com but it may take a day for a response |

::sighs::
how come every time someone calls tech support, they tell you 10 different ways to powerdown/reset your router and any combonation of equipment?
thats all he could tell me, reset the router, and reconect it.
which didnt work.
and im still without a phone. |

if you are getting a dial tone, try dialing your number with 11 digit dialing, even if you are trying to call a number in your own area code.
example: you are tying to call 333-444-5555 OR 444-5555, try dialing 1-333-444-5555, |
