Looking to move to Vonage, couple of questions:
Currently All jacks are "home run wired" to central location. At location I have Cable Modem and Wireless adapter.
Can I simply "remove" teloco Line from Punch down block- which feeds all jacks and plug in Voip adapter @ any available jack to power whole house? Can I connect Voip Directly to punch down block?
Should I buy Voip Router or Replace Wireless Router with Voip Router?
Since I Have Directivo, fax, and regular tivo, anyway to test to see if Vonage will work for me before making the switch? |

Yes.

Yes. This would also work.

That is up you you. I bought a PAP2 because I like the wireless router that I have and I want to be able to remove the PAP2 or the router from the equation when/if I have problems.

There is no way to be sure without getting a Vonage line and trying it out. Many people have made this work. Others have not. It may depend on the quality of your internet connection.
There is a lot of useful info in the sticky post at the top of this forum: http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic8379.html |
