1.00.62?
Uh oh. Sounds like a new firmware release for the RTP300/WRTP54G is out. I'll have to keep an extra close eye on my WRTP54G and see if/when it updates.
I wonder what they changed/fixed/broke THIS time? |

OK, sorry, I wasn't laughing at you. I was laughing at how reasonable your request sounded.
Short answer, no. Sometimes, a friendly and helpful Vonage rep gets a copy of the change log, or an excerpt, and unofficially posts it here.
The Vonage adapter/router is like a cell phone. They update firmware on them all the time, but they won't necessarily tell you what changes they made, or how they might affect you. That would ruin the fun! |

Yes, the individual I'm on the phone with right now confirmed that the 0.62 firmware rolled out this morning. |

Can said individual give you any hints on what changed? |

Let's extrapolate based on previous experience. .62 will include broken caller-id, echo, and random dropped calls. .64, which will be released a week from now, will fix all that. |

(chuckle). Yup. Sounds about right.
Seriously, maybe they'll find something different to break this time. I'm getting bored with the same old "Help! My caller ID suddenly stopped working!" posts when a new firmware comes out. Maybe they'll make something TRULY interesting, like, I dunno, transposing the dialout of "3" and "1" so every time I call "933" to see if E911 has FINALLY been implemented, I get a more realistic answer. (grin) |
