I have been trying to get Vonage to work with my existing phone lines. I have dsl, so I have isolated that line from the outside to 1 jack. The rest of the jacks are wired together on a separate pair of wires. I can get a dial tone with Vonage, but after approx. 5 seconds, I get a fast busy over the top of the dial tone. I can still place phone calls, but the fast busy remains. It renders the calls unintelligible. any help would be appreciated.

Are you absolutely sure that you're disconnected from all outside lines?
I assume that you don't have this problem when you're not using the house wiring. is that correct?
I went through it again and determed that I indeed was still hooked to the outside with a second line. I forgot that I had a second line installed when I first moved into the house. Once I disconnected from the outside, the problem went away. Thanks.
