I have a Vonage number that I transferred to SunRocket last year and now I cant port it back to Vonage. When I check my number in the Availability page, it says that I can transfer the number and if I try to sign up online it says it is not portable. I've called Vonage and they told me that I would need to contact SunRocket so they could release the line but SunRocket told me that they do not "own" the line and my number can be transferred to any other phone company. I really want to go back to Vonage. Anybody here knows how to resolve this? Thanks... |

I was able to call Vonage tech support (after about 2 hours of talking to different people in the customer service, number porting, and tech support...) but they finally went into my old, closed account and sent in a request to have my old number (the one I am trying to transfer back) removed from their internal database.
They told me to give it a day or two to update and then try the transfer... so I'm still waiting, but I think it'll work.

I have called them a few days ago and also talked to a lot of people, then they escalated my call to a senior tech and my number is now being transferred.  |
