Post subject: Call waiting
Hi,
I searched the forums but didn't find proper answer.
For example when I call my home number and if it's busy (somebody talking on the phone) then I hear ring few times then the call just drops.
My question why it won't go to the answering machine or why it won't keep on ringing till the other party changes the line?
I don't use
Vonage
Answering machine.
TIA

It won't go to the answering machine because if someone is using the line there's no way for the answering machine to pick up the incoming call. As for why the call just drops instead of continuing to ring I have no idea. That sounds like a bug that should be reported to
Vonage
. If you don't have VM nor Call Forwarding enabled on the line then I would think the call would continue to ring until someone picked it up or the calling party hung up.
