I'm still having issues. I thought it was a cabling issue, and it seemed to work for a while. Didn't last long. I called my ISP, they said they do not disable our ability to use routers or anything, and it should work fine with the normal modem -> router -> nic setup. I'm still having the same old issue. I can only use my pc's nic -> modem or Modem -> router -> Vonage phone. My pc and phone cannot both work at the same time connected to the router I mentioned in previous posts. This is so weird... |

Could the Vonage adapter possibly be cloning the MAC address of your PC for any reason? That would cause exactly that problem. |

I have had the same problem with Vonage routers. I got one, it worked (sometimes) and then it just stopped working. Another friend of mine had THE SAME problem. However, Vonage didn't want to replace the router because it had been more than 30 days since I had received it. I finally got them to take it back and now they are trying to charge me for the one I sent back to them. They are charging me $42.00 for a $65.00 router that never worked because I don't still have the box!!! (even though I payed for a service that I couldn't use for several months because I had to spend HOURS on the phone with them). |

Hi. Count me in, another customer satisfied with Vonage, except the router in unreliable. Second one (Linksys RT31P2) died today while moving some wires around (cleaning up wiring clutter), cannot get either internet or phone service through it. Tried as a last resort going back to the install CD... no luck, it makes me reset the router, then complains that the router cannot connect to the internet. Tried swapping cables, that's not the problem.
Direct connection through cable modem is just fine, but with the Linksys router in the system can't get either computer<=>Internet or phone<=>internet.
For a while I was having a very scratchy phone connection, and internet connection that would get just the title page (that was why I suspected the cables), but now nothing !
1. Any suggestions for alternate router to use ?
2. Any suggestions of things to try to get my router working again ?
Thanks !!
