Post subject: Overhead wire question
I've had my
Vonage
routed through my entire house now for some time. The biggest issue I have now is the wire running overhead of my yard from the telco company. Can I get this wire removed or is it required on the house. I have no plans to go back to telco and really would like this wire gone!
Any thoughts?

call the telco - its their line - you cannot legally touch anything until the customer's side of the Network Interface Box

does every-one else have the same picture in their mind that i am seeing right now...
end of the simpsons episode when homer is stealing cable tv and he's up on the pole trying to cut the cable line to...and he black-outs the neighborhood.

Not me, I was thinking that if there was a tall enough tree nearby that was somewhat unwanted....

I agree with a-dhold, but you should keep in mind the re-sale value of your home. When you go to sell the new guy may not be using
Voip
. It would be a considerable expense to have the phone co come and re-wire the house, not to mention the expense to remove it now. But I think scerruti has given you a good suggestion for the latter,
