Post subject: Matching Cat5 wiring to telco "Quad" wiring.
From reading the primer on hard-wiring, the blue and light blue in the CAT5 should be used for line 1. Question is what colors are they supposed to match up to:
Red - Blue?
Green - White/Blue?
And what about line 2?
Or the other way around? I'm sure there is a page floating around here describing this.
Thanks, Mike

[EDIT: The color coding for the second line would depend on whether you intended to use the same CAT5 cable for ethernet as well.]

Perfect - I knew I had run across that page at some point. No plans to use it for ethernet, I'd run a seprate line if I did. Wireless G has my house covered for now. Thanks Much - Mike

White/Blue -> Green (Tip Line 1)
Blue -> Red (Ring Line 1)
White/Orange -> Black (Tip Line 2)
Orange -> Yellow (Ring Line 2)
Hope this helps
