I tried very hard to figure all this out. Extra bandwidth, tweaking options, pingplotter. Inconsistant service forces me to go back to a conventional phone line. I'll be paying the bigger bucks, but I absolutely needed to hear and be heard. Vonage still has a long way to go for business use, in my opinion. Six months is long enough for a fair evaluation, but that's not why I'm posting.
I am on HOLD trying to disconnect my service. Easy enough to sign up on line, but now I have to deal with a warm body to say goodbye. All well and good, but Bon-Vonage does not have enough warm bodies on staff to take care of the disconnect business. Get this, I called this morning (Monday) 9:00AM and they are flat telling me in a recording that it would be best if I called back on Tuesday after 11:30AM! I guess if we give them about 26 hours, they can actually handle thier touted 1 million customer install base. So, one last customer service insult and the waste of my time will be complete. I wont be back. |

I guess that Mondays are a heavy caller load time, given the number of people who install and/or discover a problem over the weekend. I know that my home&auto insurance recommends not calling on a Monday for routine service. Hang in there. Sorry things haven't worked out - I'm about to begin my own evaluation as soon as the box arrives. |

Any ideas? | I'm quite sure you did spend a lot of time trying but, one post in six months to correct a very vague description of what's wrong. I am also sure the chairmen of this post board would be happy to help you with a better description, more description of your problems? Wired connections, IP addresses, Can calls even be made? Can you access the rtp300? |
