I figured I will be waiting 30 days or so to transfer my old number to Vonage, so I would use my call forwarding from Qwest to direct the calls to my virtual Vonage #. Guess what, it does not work. I can forward to any other number such as a cell phone, but not to my Vonage Virtual number. I guess they dont like loosing customers so they will make it as hard as they can. Anyone else have this problem with Qwest or any other phone co? |

why can't you? and how would they know they are losing you? either way it would be illegal for them to pick and choose what number(s) you can forward to. the only thing I can think of is if your temporary number is long distance or otherwise would incur a charge (but that's a guess, I've never used call forwarding on a line I didn't have long distance included with) |

Thanks for the reply. I overlooked the obvious, when entering the number to forward to, I tried it with and without area code but did not think I needed to add a 1 in front of the area code, all working fine now.
Thanks again

Ken-
I'm in Denver and have been with Vonage for several months now. I did exactly that: forward my Qwest number to Vonage until it transfers. For me, the transfer took place in 2 weeks and was invisible on my end. The forward works flawlessly!!
good luck... |
