Invalid Mac Address Linksy PAP2 Adapter

I was first very excited to bring home my new toy (Linkys/Vonage adapter) only to find that Vonage website wont let me register it's mac address because it is invalid. How can this be when it is brand new out of the box? Anyway I was even more disappointed to find out from these forums that I am not the only one who has experienced this. After several hrs on hold with Vonage and being cold transferred back in to the hold queue. I finally did speak with someone who said he could take care of it within 24hrs. What a bummer , I sincerely hope things improve from here.

good luck.... my 24 hours was about 3 weeks ago.

My previoius carrier disconnected me last week and Vonage can only tell me that it will take 24 to 48 to 72 to what ever they feel like today, to get it fixed.

Don't believe the time lines they say. As soon as they get the phone number taken care of I intend to transfer back to my original carrier and scrap Vonage.

You can probably make contact with your old carrier and stop the transfer before it takes place. If you're committed to giving up Vonage, I recommend that you do that.
