My sister has a business she runs from home, and she uses a regular phone service. I want to recommend that she switch to Vonage.
Is it a requirement (by law or whatever) that she must sign up for a Small Business service, or can she legally use the Premium Unlimited service? I believe she is currently using the same service that she has always used for her family and personal phone. (It's the same number.) |

It's not against the law. It is however against Vonage policy. |

More than likely, if her call volume is low, it would be ok. There is though, a certain "magical" level, that if Vonage sees that the line is not being used for normal residential usage, they will contact her and tell her to upgrade to a business service, or cancel. It's covered in the TOS's, I think you can view them on their site. |

In any case, don't worry about it unless they worry about it. You can't be thrown in jail for it. Heck, they will probably do nothing but warn you at first. Chances are they would warn you a few times before they would do anything. Face it, they don't want to lose the business so they aren't going to be hard nosed about it. |
