Anyone else getting anonymous calls and faxes?

Is anyone else getting anonymous calls or faxes?

I would sure like to see anonymous call blocking and 'do not disturb' features.
One of the reasons I went with Vonage was to stop the telemaketing and spam.

I am. If Vonage had anonymous call blocking and do not disturb features I would not be looking at other VoIP providers. Vonage service has been rock solid for me, but it is missing in particular the two features that you mentioned.

I get 3 - 5 spam fax attempts per week.

I'm SICK of them. I wish I could block anonymous fax transmissions, or any inbound fax transmissions for that matter.

Ugh.

I have signed up my numbers at www.donotcall.gov, the FTC website against telemarketers. One of my numbers has been active for 6 months, and I have not had any problems with anonymous callers/faxes.

Funny side note: My number once belonged to a Domino's Pizza, so I got about 3-5 calls from somebody wanting to order pizza over the last six months. It's always the same person!!! Smile

So last time I was a bit rude, and I haven't heard from her since.

Does anyone know if you port your number to Vonage from another phone service do you need to re-enter your number in the "Do not call list"?
