the anonymous call blocking and do not disturb features? It seems like Vonage is falling behind in the features department. VoicePulse and BroadVoice are becoming more and more attractive every day. It looks like the newcomers are paying attention to what customers want while Vonage is no longer listening to us. |

Hey Moto I am sure they know they are getting behind in their feature set, I remind them at least twice per month. Instead of writing at DSLReports, which I also read every day, today I decided to buy my own unlocked Sipura ATA from Voxilla.com. It comes with a free month of VoicePulse service and I will configure a "fax" line (not limited in features, but in the number of outgoing minutes) on the the Sipura's second port using BroadVoice's $5.95 BYOD service. That way I can take the ATA with me when I travel, I get a fax line for $5.95 vs. $9.95 from Vonage, and I also get to test VoicePulse for free. |

To be honest with you, txcas, judging by the number of ads on the web I see lately for Vonage, I gather they are spending all their money on advertising rather than product development. Although I don't like it, it may be a good strategy for them in the long run, I don't know. |

I would rather see improvements in basic serives like these than things like "Click-to-Call" Vonage should stay with the basics. Better Caller ID service, anonymous and private call blocking, DND services and Customer Support will keep them competative so that they can grow their busness. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with Vonage and have had great service from them. It's just that, to lead the pack, they need to keep raising the bar, and they are not going to be able to do that with just gimics. |
