OK
I have had Vonage for a while. I am using the following equipment.
Linksys PAP2 (no reset button)
Linksys WRT54GS current firmware, QOS & Port Forwarding enabled
Linksys PSUS4 Print Server
Motorola Cable modem
WRTG54GS is using DHCP currently
Uniden Cordless Phone (Cheapy until the number transfer switches)
Canon PIXMA MP780 fax line hooked up to PAP2
Voice Mail is currently turned off
I have tried resetting all network equipment to factory defaults, turning the units off for over an hour without them being plugged in. Unhooked the phone and fax line one at a time and both at the same time etc.
Can anyone help with this?
There is no voicemail on my account, or when I login to vonage.
Wife is pissed. ug |

Did you simply try to dial *123 (double check that you have no messages) and then be sure to exit with *? |

If the * key doesn't get rid of it, pull the power cords on the router and phones, and reset. |

Mine did that for about a day, I finally logged into my voice mail and pushed about very menu option without really changing anything, when I finally logged out of my voicemail the voicemail indicator went away.

Man, I tried that too, as well as setting it up in different ways (static route, yada, yada). Methinks it's time for a visit to get a new one.
I am stumped |

I had this happen to me once and the only way I got rid of it was to leave myself a message from another phone.
I used used my cell and left a message, then once I retrieved the message the beep, beep, beep, beep stopped beeping.
I can't tell you why this worked, but it is easy enough to try.
Hope this helps,

This procedure worked for me just yesterday. For some reason Vonage wants you to check your vmail through the phone rather than the web site. I had checked the web site and deleted all the vmail, but the stutter tone wouldn't go away until I left a new message and deleted it through the phone. |

You can also leave a voice mail for yourself using your Vonage line by doing the following:
dial *67, then your Vonage #. The voice mail system won't receive the CallerID info b/c of the *67, and will prompt you to enter a mailbox # to leave a message for. Put in your full Vonage # including the 1 before the area code, and you can leave a message for yourself that way. You can also leave a message for any Vonage customer that way. |
