I'm a current Vonage Canada user. I received a refurbished Motorola phone adaptor with my original sign up package. I just purchased a Linksys PAP2 adaptor which I want to install in place of the Motorola one. The new adaptor will site behind my firewall/router and will not affect my MTU settings (and hence internet throughput) like the Motorola one does. I have two questions: 1) I noticed on this board, that some of the PAP2 adaptors purchased at Future Shop, might have issues with MAC addresses. Before I do anything, who do I call to check out whether Vonage Canada can work with the MAC address of my new PAP2 device? 2) If the above checks out, what procedure do I need to follow to switch my motorola adaptor with my PAP2 one? I realize that Vonage ties my phone numbers to the MAC addresses so I need to follow some procedure. Any pointers with the above would be appreciated. |

They double checked the MAC address on the side of the box and said it was okay.

When I talked to the person above, they said they could do the activiation / deactivation over the phone. I will call them back tonight (from home) and try it out. |
