What does CID Transmission Error Mean? (I Assume this Means Caller ID Transmission Error?)
I have a Tivo (Model SD-DVR40) and it was working fine (for about 2-3 Weeks) until about March 31st. now whenever it makes a call, it connects, and get as far as downloading, and I get The CID Transmission Error on my Caller ID Display, and the Tivo Hangs Up, telling me that the call has been Interrupted. Could this CID Transmission Error be Interruptting the Tivo Causing it to hang up? do the bandwith saver need to be set to 30, 50, or 90? (I've tried all three.) Anybody know what I Can Try To Fix This Problem? Thanks, Mike
Just of Note, I have had People Tell Me Several Times That The umber that shows up on their caller id box when i call them, that it's not mine. it appears to be a number from New Jersey. I Live In New York. (I have a NY Number with Vonage)
p.s.
The Codes I've tried with The Tivo Prefix are...
,#034 (Slows Modem Down To 34Kbps) ,#019 (Slows Modem Down To 19Kbps) ,#028 (Slows Modem Down To 28Kbps) *99 (Tells Phone to act as Fax Line - Analog Line) I've Noticed that The Tivo Won't Connect at 56Kbps Unless *99 is used. |
