I have a lot of people who ask me how I have my home network configured. I finally decided to put together a diagram so I can just email it to people when they ask how I have it set up.
Here is that diagram in case you guys have something similar.

Nice network papu!
I'll have to get a diagram of mine together - its quite scary if I think about it.
3 Broadband connections, 4 win2k DC's, 3 Sparcs, 4 freebsd boxes, 6 or 7 workstations, wireless, print servers etc. All good fun.
Nice to see someone else who takes home networking seriously. |

Frasier,
Thanks! I've got another 7 Virtual Machines running Lindows, Mandrake, Red Hat and Win2003 server, 3 more laptops and a Blackberry as well as a PowerMac 9500 running Yellow Dog Linux with MOL and OS X - but it complicated the diagram too much.
I take my hobby seriously
Frasier, as a aside - I'm from England (Buckinghamshire) living in the US now.

Hehe
Very impressive - small world isnt it I guess.
I'm from kent - not too far away. I have friends in Bucks tho.
Looks like I'll have to get my copy of visio out to draw my network - unless you have any better suggestions for network-drawing software. |

I use Visio 2002 for a living (among other tools) so that's what I would recommend.
It's fast and accurate if you just can visualise what the end result will look like before you start.

Excuse the crappy use of visio - I'm a little out of practice |
