New user, linksys RT31P2 no dial tone

help, I just got a linksys RT31P2 and new service. I followed the directions in the book that came with the linksys and a number of directions I've found on the internet. I've even ran some online install program (didn't get an intall CD) still not getting any dial tone Cry

any help would be great.

In the mail from Vonage.

I've got the cable motem going into the port marked "internet" on the back of the linksys. Then I have the computer connected into ether port 1. Then I've got my phone plugged into the phone port. Everything plugged in and running.

about a week ago this happened to several new subscribers due to some issue with Vonage. I'm guessing the issue isn't resolved. your device should automatically provision, especially since you got it from Vonage. there are a couple of other reasons it may not work, but they are unlikely. you're probably going to have to call.
couple more questions that probably won't make ant difference: who is your isp and if you type in http://192.168.15.1 in your web browser (password admin, username anything or leave blank), what do you have for Line1 under the Status tab?

I've got Charter internet, and it says offline which I took as bad from the start...
