I was afraid you would say that (only because I have an RTP300, so I could have told you exactly what the screens there look like).
But, you should go into the web-based configuration for the wireless G router and in the Basic Setup look for something like "Local DHCP Server". Then you want to have it Enabled and there should be a place to specify a range of IP addresses (or a starting address and the number of addresses it should reserve). Be sure that you have some specified (greater than 1). |

I am not sure what you are saying.
You have your modem connected to the wireless G router's WAN port and then the RTP300's WAN port connected to the wireless G LAN port. Correct?
Are the two phone lines on the wireless G working?
So are you saying that the phone line on the RTP300 is not working yet?
If so, you first should be sure that the RTP300 is getting to the internet. To do that, you need to ge to the RTP300's web interface to check out the status. To do that, you probably need to connect a computer (temporarily) a LAN port on the RTP300 and then go to its web interface. There, check the status to see that it has acquired an IP address on the WAN side (that would have been provided by the wireless G DHCP server). Then check that you can access the internet from the computer. If so, it is going through BOTH routers, so all is well.
Once you are at the point that the RTP300 has internet connectivity, then my next question would be have you registered the MAC address of the RTP300 with Vonage for line 3.
Hope this helps. |
