I will be getting a new account soon and I have to ask, given unlimited funds and similar circumstances what equipment and features would you purchase?
I personally have a very wired up home and can do just about anything (hard wired, IP, wireless, etc). So, I can't decide which way to go. I would like to have many many phones. I understand the issues with voltage and making sure not to have too many phones. I am not clear on the ability to have multiple phone adapters or switches although I believe you can't have multiple adapters unless you have multiple lines. So, I could get a good adapter and hook all my wired phones up. Or I could buy an IP adapter and buy a bunch of IP phones (are they better and worth the cost?). Or I could go wireless (Can I do both?). The choices seem endless. Please help me decide. Thanks! |

hard wire the adapter and plug the phone cord from the adapter into the wall after disconnecting the niu on the outside of your house. then you can plug phones into any jack and they will work.
the simpler the better. |

Unless I find out otherwise I will likely do this. Although I'll run my switch through a distribution box since I have a Star or home-run configuration in my house. This will also be cheaper, but I'm tempted to run IP phones if they will are better in quality and features. I'm also wondering how the WiFi phone works and if I can combine it with one of these adapters. |
