I have an RTP300 and two voice lines. I recently moved the router so it is connected directly to my Cable Modem. (There are other routers connected to the RTP 300). There are two computers on my network so I would say that it is not heavily used. Here is the problem. When I am using one line, the quality is OK. When both voice lines are being used, there are huge delays -- almost like the RTP300 can't handle the traffic that 2 simultaneous voice lines are generating. As soon as one of the lines hangs up, the other line is OK. The problem happens with both the voice lines. Does anyone have two voice lines working at once using an RTP300? Any problems? Any advice?? Thanks |

Sounds like you need more upload speed to support to Vonage lines and 2 pc's simultaneously. |

You can get a better router to do QOS for you, and not use the RTP as a gateway router. It probably can't handle that much going on. If you got another router, it would give your voice lines priority over your computers. |

I did the Vonage test for upload and download speeds: Results:
Upload: 946Kbps, 926Kbps, 925Kbps Download: 1.69Mbps, 2.00Mbps, 2.43Mbps
Are these in line with recommendations from Vonage? |
