It's week four with choppy call quality and I've had it. Using Vonage and Comcast and I'm in Illinois. I'm going to cancel my service with Vonage - they just don't seem to want to help me solve this problem. anyone else using Comcast in Illinois having issues? |

There's a whole on-going thread about it. I think it's safe to say the matter has gotten some attention! |

When the problem lies outside of Vonage's network, there's little they can do... The two companies are apparently talking, but I'm not sure what their actions currently are.

According to that PC Mag article, Vonage says they haven't heard of any problems and Comcast says the problems have been acknowledged by Vonage as being on their [Vonage's] end.

The posted comments address a growing number of complaints regarding connection quality of Vonage's VoIP telephone service, particularly in areas where Comcast offers broadband access. Vonage representatives, however, said they haven't noticed problems.
"To my knowledge, these rumors are hearsay," said a spokesperson for Vonage.
Comcast says that it has been working with Vonage to investigate the situation, and that the independent VoIP provider indicated the problem was an isolated issue on their end and had nothing to do with the Comcast connection. |
Which is funny because I recall several service status messages over the past few weeks indicating that Vonage users in the Midwest with Comcast as their ISP may be experiencing poor audio quality on calls. |
